Our first visit will be to a cooperative of argan oil producers, where we will learn about the extraction process and its uses. Next, we will explore the fortified city of Ait Ben Haddou, renowned for its well-known kasbah, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This location has served as the location for several movies, including “Gladiator” and “The Jewel of the Nile,” as well as the series “Game of Thrones.”

After lunch in town, we will continue our trip to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert. We will pass through the Valley of Roses and the beautiful palm groves of Skoura and Boumalne. We will conclude the day with Dinner at our hotel in the Dades Valley.

The day will be spent exploring the Merzouga region, which is known for its gorgeous landscapes, including vast dunes, wild lakes, fascinating mines, fossil-rich areas, and enchanting oases—perfect spots for various outdoor activities!

Our first stop will be an old eyeliner mine, where you can learn about the region's history. Next, we will visit local nomads in their hand-woven tents, where you'll have the chance to experience their unique way of life while sipping on a glass of Berber tea.

Then, we'll head to the village of Khamlia, famous for its rich Gnaoua music and dance, showcasing the rich culture of habitats from countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant, after which we can enjoy a leisurely walk through a palm grove. The day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel or Riad, allowing you to relax and recollect your incredible experiences in the desert.

After crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night at a hotel or riad.

Day 5: Ouarzazate - High Atlas Mountains - Tizi N'tichika - Marrakech

After exploring these excellent sites, we will drive back to Marrakech through the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas mountains. Along the way, we will make several stops, including a visit to Kasbah Telouet, one of the oldest kasbahs in the High Atlas region. After touring this ancient kasbah, we will continue our journey via the Tizi N’tichka pass and stop for lunch before arriving in the red city. After enjoying a delicious local lunch, we will continue our trip back to Marrakech. This marks the end of our 5-day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert.
