4×4 Desert Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Khamlia Village – Mifis – Nomad Village

After breakfast, we’ll head out on a 4x4 tour of the Merzouga desert. We’ll stop at Khamlia village to enjoy Gnawa music performed by people from Sudan and Ghana.

After taking in the music, dancing, and photos, we’ll continue along the Paris-Dakar rally route. Our next stop will be Mefes, known for its stunning desert stones, and then we’ll visit an oasis where local nomads live.

Learn how these nomads cope with the heat and sandstorms during the summer months. You’ll enjoy a traditional Berber lunch with tea, cooked by a local Berber woman using authentic recipes.

After the meal, the tour will continue through the Erg Chebbi dunes. Departure is around 10 a.m., with the tour finishing at 4 p.m.
