Hotel Les Roches Merzouga is a family business, born and raised at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes. We opened our doors in 2004, and three things have never changed: we are local, we are Berber, and we run everything ourselves.

Our story

Our family has lived in this corner of the Sahara for generations — long before tourism, when the desert was simply home. When we built the hotel, we wanted to share that home the way we'd welcome a friend: honestly, warmly, and without the polish of a faceless agency. Today the same family still greets you at reception, drives the 4x4, leads the camel treks and cooks at the camp.
